It Started With a Simple Frustration
Why was it so hard for Cairns locals to get properly fitted running shoes?
Runners were buying online. Nurses and teachers were guessing sizes. People were walking the Esplanade in shoes that hurt. Kids were wearing hand-me-downs that didn’t suit their feet.
There was no specialist store to turn to, and the community wanted more.
Joshua and Kryssi, both Running Coaches, have spent years helping people find the right shoes, and spot gait issues and avoid injury, but knew that Cairns needed a dedicated space where running expertise and genuine community support could live under one roof.
That vision became The Good Run.
A store where:
- Beginners feel welcome

- Kids can get properly fitted
- Teachers, nurses and other workers can find shoes that get them through 10+hour days
- Physios and podiatrists can confidently send their clients
